Boeing 747 FTD-PC FS Mastery Program
A structured training curriculum designed for serious flight simulation enthusiasts seeking a deeper understanding of Boeing 747 systems, procedures, and operational techniques. The program consists of ten B747-400 Flight Training Device (FTD) lessons, two B747-8 Differences Training, each including a detailed instructional briefing followed by a guided simulator flight. Students are encouraged to fly each lesson profile independently to reinforce learning and develop proficiency.

Phase 1 establishes the core knowledge required to operate the Boeing 747 effectively. Students are introduced to flight deck setup, aircraft systems, flight deck philosophy, automation fundamentals, flight management system operation, and standard operating procedures. Through a series of structured briefings and guided simulator sessions, participants develop the foundational skills necessary to manage the aircraft safely and confidently in all phases of flight.
Phase 2 focuses on integrating aircraft systems, automation, and crew procedures into practical line operations. Students learn to manage normal flight profiles while refining their understanding of performance management, navigation, flight guidance systems, and operational decision-making. Each lesson builds upon previous training, promoting increased workload management and operational confidence in realistic airline environments.
Phase 3 brings together all previously acquired knowledge and skills through increasingly complex operational scenarios. Students apply advanced procedures, manage non-normal situations, and demonstrate sound judgment while operating the aircraft in realistic line-oriented missions. This phase emphasizes professionalism, precision, and command-level decision-making, preparing participants to operate the Boeing 747 with a high degree of competence and confidence.
Course Completion
Students who successfully complete all 12 FTD lessons and achieve a passing score on the final ten-question test will receive an official Subsonic Flight Training Certificate of Completion, recognizing their dedication and achievement in the Boeing 747 Mastery Program.
