Captain Al is Alex L Pavlis.
He has been a General Aviation Pilot, Regional Airline Pilot, and Flag Air Carrier Airline Pilot for over 44 years.
In addition to holding Captain positions in each of those ranks, he has been an instructor pilot, check pilot, and FAA Examiner on the 757, 767, and 747 for over 28 years.
Captain Al holds FAA type ratings in the SD3, B757, B767, B747-400, B747-8, B787, and A320 aircraft.
He has over 30,000 hours split between flying and teaching/checking in Level C/D simulators.
He is retired in 2021 from aviation as a consultant Captain Instructor Pilot and FAA Examiner for The Boeing Company on the B787 and B747-400, and B747-8.
Captain Al manages all of his own funds in his Personal Portfolio Margin Account called ALP | Capital, a full time trader business as defined by the IRS Trader Tax Status and Section 475(f), where he employs a wealth generation strategy using share equity/options both buying and selling shares, puts, calls, and diagonals with risk mitigation using hedging, spreads, and position size.
Captain Al has been married for over 35 years to Nancy, has 2 adult children and 3 grandsons.
Captain Al enjoys following the financial markets, drones, exercise, cycling, and doing magic with rubik’s cubes.
